Irvine History

Creating life lessons, opportunities and extraordinary experiences for a bigger game at play.

“When I started this journey back in November of 1999, the club, then called Irvine Lasers Soccer Club, was at a crossroads. At that point the club had SIX teams and the youngest team was U13. After extensive research of how other clubs operated and how their coaches treated young players, we found our ‘difference’
We were able to create an ‘age specific’ training program which promotes a fun and safe environment to enable all players to develop and learn and achieve their full potential.

Our first motto was “Fun comes first, success comes naturally” and, whilst we have evolved, this continues to be an essential part of what we do.”

The key to this being a success was dependant on hiring the best coaches who could create a fun and challenging environment, while using soccer as a vehicle to teach valuable life lessons.

I value my soccer life and continue to enjoy my soccer journey. Like me, I want all our players, families and staff to enjoy their own personal soccer journey with us, creating their own amazing experiences and taking advantage of the opportunities that our organization can provide.

Roll on 20 years and our club now has a membership of over 3500 players!!!
We have created many successful programs, leagues and tournaments and won a plethora of Championships. We place multiple players into college, year after year and our women’s team recently won the UWS National Championship in Calgary, Canada.

Around the world LFC International Academies provide young players with an opportunity to develop, learn new techniques and skills, all under the guidance of accredited coaching staff, following an authentic academy curriculum, tools and cutting edge resources.

We are delighted to now bring this opportunity to our local Southern California communities!

Through the unique coaching methods of Liverpool FC, players will learn to improve technical and tactical aspects of their game while learning key life skills centred on the four values of the Liverpool way: Ambition, Commitment, Dignity and Unity.”
