We are delighted to be back to the field, starting Monday June 22nd!

Returning To Play is a personal choice. Participants should feel comfortable determining if they would like to resume activities in a small group environment and must be responsible to adhere to and respect the social distancing requirements and contact guidelines. As a parent or guardian, if you are not comfortable in your child’s returning to play ​DON’T Return To Play.

With this comes a responsibility to conduct ourselves in a manner to protect players, coaches, families and our community.

No players will be permitted to play without the return of a signed Cal South COVID-19 Waiver and LFCIA self disclosure form. All these things being said…​LETS PLAY!!

Here is some information to help you

General

  • LFCIA will follow Cal South Return to Play Phases and Responsibilities and will move through the phases as guided by Cal South.
  • Participation at practices is restricted to those who have completed the Cal South COVID-19 Waiver.
  • Participants and staff will be required to conduct daily self disclosures.
  • Any players, coaches, spectators who are sick will not be allowed at practices/camps/tryouts.
  • We will maintain a tracker of attendees.

Player/Parent/Coach Requirements

Wellness

  • Coaches & players will follow their own self disclosure checklist, daily, prior to practice
  • Coaches will not allow anyone to attend practice unless they have confirmed completion of the daily self disclosure.
  • Any tryout players must bring printed disclosures and a signed Cal South waiver.
  • Coach will conduct a visual wellness check of all players upon arrival and ask if they have completed their self disclosure. Some cities will also require temperature checks at the field.
  • Once answered “yes” child will be asked to use their hand sanitizer and directed by coach to their area.
  • If self disclosure is not completed, child will be refused entry to practice.
  • Participants should wear masks until they are in their own designated practice space and socially distancing from others.
  • Coaches must always wear masks while training unless actively involved in the training drill and/or coaching and/or within the six (6) feet distance restrictions.Social Distancing

Social Distancing

  • There will be a minimum of 15 minutes between practice sessions so kids can transition without contact
  • Adhere to maximum number of players on a field to comply with social distancing requirements of 6 feet:
    • 7v7 teams & 9v9 teams (13 player roster) – 3 teams maximum on a field
    • 11v11 teams (18 player roster) – 2 teams maximum on a field
    • Camps – maximum of 50 players on a field
  • No scrimmages permitted and no contact between players in current phase
  • Fitness and skills traini​ng only – 1 player, 1 ball, 1 grid
  • Families should stay in vehicles on drop off and pick up – no spectators
  • Participants to remain a minimum 6 feet apart including all/any breaks
  • No early arrival permitted
  • 1 way onto field, 1 way off field separation


Equipment

  • No shared equipment in use – no bibs, players will wear different colored jerseys if requested
  • Participants to bring own sanitizer
  • Hand sanitizer or hand washing on arrival, midway through session and departure
  • No sharing of drinks or use of water fountains at facilities
  • Equipment will be designated for each training group and this equipment must not be allowed to be used by any other training group
  • No participants to touch coaching equipment or static team benches and field shades

Activities guidelines

For this stage, LFCIA will Implement Cal South ‘Limited Individual Drills & Practice’ as follows:

  1. Training groups will abide by the maximum number of players allowed in a “Training Group” based on social distancing guidelines and our standards above.
  2. All practice drills and activities will focus on individual fitness and skills training for the authorized Training Group in a socially distant environment.
  3. Drills within a Training Group may involve passing, provided that the ball is not touched by the player other than by their feet and the players maintain social distancing.
  4. Participants within a Training Group may not arrive at the facility (training area) until the previous Training Group has completely departed. We will build in time between sessions
  5. We will limit the number of participants in the training area such that social distancing always allows for participants and staff to maintain a minimum of six (6) feet of distance from one another.
  6. Coaches will wear masks while training unless actively involved in the Training Drill and/or coaching and/or within the six (6) feet distance restrictions.
  7. Parents should drop off kids and pick them up from practice if applicable.
    • Parents ​must​ remain in the car unless essential. Parents must wear a mask and practice social distancing if outside and remain 50 yards from the field.
  8. We will provide a minimum separation between Training Groups of at least six (6) feet.


Not Permitted:

  1. Players may not share ​any ​equipment.
  2. We will not be using bibs/pinnies.
  3. No parents on the practice field.
  4. No scrimmages between players.
  5. No competition or tournaments between Teams.
  6. No physical contact is permitted such as: hugs, high-fives, etc.
  7. No activities that may create opportunity for an individual to come in contact with another’sequipment. This would include headers, throw-ins, etc.
  8. No sharing of belongings between players, such as water bottles, cell phones, cleats, socks, shinguards, etc.

Camps/Tryouts

In addition to the guidelines above, LFCIA will implement the following at camps and tryouts.

Anyone who registers will receive more detailed information prior to their session.

  • Ensure groups work with ​one​ assigned coach/leader throughout the duration of the camp (day/week)
  • Individuals will check in with a coach at their designated, isolated, check-in point (away from other groups).
  • Individuals will sign out and exit camp through designated route (supplied by LFCIA) -​1 way onto field, 1 way off field separation
  • Individuals will have a designated area to store belongings away from each player
  • Individuals will NOT share any items of food, drink or sunscreen with any other person(s) on camp
  • Individuals will work in a small area designated to them while completing exercises/tasks in line with distancing guidelines – ​a minimum separation between Training Groups of at least six (6) feet
  • Each group will be required to stay in their allocated areas during the camp day
  • No handshakes/fist bumps and limited spectators
  • Limited spectators – 1 parent/guardian per child – separation protocols in place around field, spectators at least “10” yards from field
  • Spectators to wear face masks
  • No early arrivals permitted
  • No shared equipment in use – no bibs, players will wear different colored jerseys as requested daily
  • Participants to bring own sanitizer
  • Hand sanitizer or hand washing on arrival, during sessions and departure
  • No sharing of drinks or use of water fountains at facilities
  • LFCIA to provide all equipment to be used on camp
  • No participants to touch coaching equipment
  • Coaches will wear masks while training unless actively involved in the Training Drill and/or coaching and/or within the six (6) feet distance restrictions.
  • LFCIA to complete the cleaning and disinfecting of all equipment at the end of each day
  • LFCIA to implement a self disclosu​re​ to be completed, stored and shared (if needed) by assignedCamp Director
  • LFCIA will provide all camp directors a designated Health and Safety box to include (but not limitedto): Hand Sanitizer, Tissues, and Antiseptic wipes.
